They Made It To Hong Kong

I spoke with Ron for about 2 min. this morning. I wished it were longer but we had an appointment that we couldn't miss and we were already running behind. I struggled with leaving Skype and sweet Lucey Lu blowing me kisses. He did tell me they arrived in Hong Kong with no problems. They had a very nice train ride--Ron said it was fast. I can't wait to hear more details. They will have all day Saturday to do some sightseeing and then they will be ready to come home. They have to leave for the airport very early Sunday morning to catch their flight. We just can't wait! I'm trying to get last minute things ready for them. I know they will be tired and jet lagged. We are ready to do some pampering. We will see how long it takes Lucey to trust me. I'm going to be patient.

Lucey got a package today from our friends in Colorado. Thank you Elizabeth! I love the pink camo! Lucey is one of the troops!

Ahhhh...what a sweet baby doll and some accessories. I bought Lucey some things from this same line of toys...a sippy cup and bottle. Perfect!

Okay--this car seat--it took me forever to get it in the car correctly. What a project. We have decided to try her rear-facing. This is a convertible car seat which can face rear until a child is 35 pounds (or close to it). Even though Lucey is 21 months and 22 pounds, experts say that facing rear is much safer if rear ended in an accident. Hopefully she will do well with being in a car seat. Another first for her. ;-)

Hopefully I will have some new pictures to share this evening. I can't wait for the guys and Lucey to wake up!
