Lucey's mouth is healing nicely and there is no sign that she tore it when she scratched herself last week. The culture her pediatrician took came back positive for bacteria but again, there is no sign of infection and her smile is beautiful. Lucey's bandages are still on securely where her ear remnant was removed. She will have those removed soon, by someone other than me ; )
We leave for St. Louis tomorrow. Her post op appointment is on Monday. I'm eager to hear what her plastic surgeon has to say about her recovery.

Thank you for sharing about Lucey's surgery. We wish her a speedy recovery! We are in the process of seeing Doctors for our little girl and talking about ear reconstruction/prostetics, we seen a facial surgeon a couple weeks ago and now need to see another specialist to see if Zoe has a functioning inner ear. So far she doesn't have any facial asymetry but the doctor said when she loses her baby fat it might be more apparent. Our daughter also has no real outer ear or canal.
