My Asian Girl

The Many Faces of Lucey Lu~~~

One of the first things I do after I get my girl out of her crib in the morning (after loves and hugs) is put her hair in a rubber band and then she picks out a bow to wear. This morning I couldn't take my eyes off her silky, shiny black beautiful and how different from my own. Instead of "doing" her hair, I decided to take a bunch of photos. She has such a fun, happy personality and you can really see her shine through on the photos. My desire and prayer for her is that she will always know just how beautiful she is and has always been. Her face will take on many changes over the years with surgery and natural aging....she will always be beautiful in my eyes and more importantly...God's eyes.
(The song playing is "Asian Girl" by Kai.... They are a Filipino-American R&B Band--enjoy.)

  1. What great photos! Lucey is a beautiful girl, and these photos show her personality. Love the "Asian Girl" song!

  2. Yes, She is a Beautiful Girl! I love the shiny, black hair. That's the way Isabel's hair is.

  3. I love smilely girls! Her hair is gorgeous, but is is that awesome smile that will win hearts where ever she goes.

I am coming to the conclusion that children with very noticeable difference tend to either sink into themselves and shrink away from the world or they step out into the spotlight and shine for all to see. I think your Lucey will always shine.

  4. Oh! It has really grown out since I seen you all in November! What a doll! I can't wait for warmer weather so we can get together again!

  5. Hi Tucker Family! Lucey is just beautiful! We stumbled across your blog from "No Hands but Ours". We are in the middle of our 2nd adoption from China. Our first daughter, Lillie Mei, has a condition very similar to Lucey's. They look like they have similar amounts of spunk as well! Our blog from her adoption is We don't update it anymore but would love to share our experiences and prayers with you. Our current blog is

Blessings to you as you serve God and our country!
