I have said, ever since they were in utero, they keep me on my toes. They are full of energy! They are also home bodies...they have a lot of friends and are involved in many activities....but they like their down time too. We are blessed. I love that they like to hang out with us. They are a chatty duo...and have a lot to say. I feel honored to be in that place of listening. They have made me a better person. Don't get me wrong...they are not perfect; they have their teen struggles. I'm so blessed to be able to be here for them when they need a gentle place to land (and I'm not perfect either....sometimes I'm not so gentle....and I have to take a step back and pray for guidance) and that they know the door is always open for them to pour out. I try to be that safe place for them. </div><div><br></div>Their Cross Country photo...unfortunately it's blurry....but I love it!<br><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh5IshO8Qn71muRGgst29UPRrOlbzcP6zV_PzTr5VT4j0RiLGLj3tClsq-x_DkhJAP71fwdGhCFdNd2HMi8fLEnddOwEQR8ZHXCu4rBx0WOUddqku1udSGs1RA3TLupFZfq5Jw7DY3IWayp/s640/blogger-image-1199816406.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh5IshO8Qn71muRGgst29UPRrOlbzcP6zV_PzTr5VT4j0RiLGLj3tClsq-x_DkhJAP71fwdGhCFdNd2HMi8fLEnddOwEQR8ZHXCu4rBx0WOUddqku1udSGs1RA3TLupFZfq5Jw7DY3IWayp/s640/blogger-image-1199816406.jpg"></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><br></div>Christian had an amazing track season-- his 4X800 qualified for state. This is their 8th school. And I homeschooled them for three years. At one point, they changed schools every year for 5 consecutive years. They make friends no matter where they go. They are good kids and they are kind. I am so very proud of them. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><br></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;">This year is going to be emotional for me....I can just tell. I'm hoping to be more diligent about my blog-- journaling to remember. It's going to go by in a blink and I don't want to miss a thing. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><br></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><br></div>The Tucker Troopshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10642923782122566601noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2858001166727115655.post-73804706124930489882015-06-27T17:52:00.001-05:002015-06-28T07:09:15.458-05:00My Brave Girl...<div>Lucey had two surgeries last year to support a bone conduction hearing aid. Part I of the surgery was in January (2014) and part II was in May of 2014. Unilateral hearing loss can be tricky. We researched the surgery and talked to four different surgeons. We discussed it, prayed about it and ultimately decided it was in Lu's best interest to have the surgery. The surgeon and I decided together to go the conservative route and do the surgery in two parts. Part I was installation of the titanium screw. After letting the screw osseointegrate for four months.....surgery part II was revealing the screw and adding the abutment that the hearing aid would snap on to. </div><br><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg5Z-z1Bg76wKG0n9ZFwsxRBPVR7Xqez7MOPstc4hyH8NN14rpetTEsHwJZcm5S6CyL1sI4v8CPqiGX8Rxv7C4dKvLkAmaI__eSAYCzKNEwEj_V7MaMAmQRh65HlFLLmEl5EOyZRqzMo0bl/s640/blogger-image-809591535.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg5Z-z1Bg76wKG0n9ZFwsxRBPVR7Xqez7MOPstc4hyH8NN14rpetTEsHwJZcm5S6CyL1sI4v8CPqiGX8Rxv7C4dKvLkAmaI__eSAYCzKNEwEj_V7MaMAmQRh65HlFLLmEl5EOyZRqzMo0bl/s640/blogger-image-809591535.jpg"></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><br></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;">Lucey before surgery...she loves her puppies. They all went to surgery with her. Her surgeon and anesthesiologist were a fun duo. She didn't have anything to relax her before she went into the OR. In the past, those meds made her a bit "crazy." (We researched all of our options and decided Oticon was the best fit for her) She got the hang of snapping it on to her abutment in no time. It works amazingly well for her. I love her little smile as she hears "differently" for the first time. She hears well. Her hearing test shows it works for her. She has not had one infection since the surgery. She cleans the abutment with a tool that looks like a tooth brush. She does a great job of caring for herself. She wears it everyday to school. I can't imagine life without our sweet Lucey. She is easy to love, to hold, to be with. She has blessed our entire family. She is light and love. She turned 8 years old a few weeks ago. I can't believe it! She was not quite 21 months old on the day she became forever ours. Lucey has...<div><br></div><div>....moved 8 times in her young life...(8 that we know of).</div><div>....has had 5 surgeries.</div><div>....has been enrolled in 6 schools.</div><div>....this summer she will travel to St. Louis for the 5th time--to see her cranio-facial team.</div><div><br></div><div>She is my hero...she teaches me so much about resilience, patience, perseverance....</div><div><br></div><div>"I am the lucky one!" Our good friends, The Hanley's, came down for their winter vacation just before Christmas....we met them at Magic Kingdom. What fun for us to be able to enjoy all the touristy things that Florida has to offer just minutes from our home. We look forward to having more visitors. 😊</div><div><br></div><br><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhPnbLIRGOeDxLMGmSjX49MUelkA-fMngP8CcbSJ4sbIVPXJtK3h2k9poJ-qsl3hCfOqngiQBJ8tl6K1v2Z73GV7sF50ILm4f9D4JkXsBg1xlthdgOs1bHFnq3UUwvvapB-B82U_KpU9Tyo/s640/blogger-image-66919357.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhPnbLIRGOeDxLMGmSjX49MUelkA-fMngP8CcbSJ4sbIVPXJtK3h2k9poJ-qsl3hCfOqngiQBJ8tl6K1v2Z73GV7sF50ILm4f9D4JkXsBg1xlthdgOs1bHFnq3UUwvvapB-B82U_KpU9Tyo/s640/blogger-image-66919357.jpg"></a></div>The Tucker Troopshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10642923782122566601noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2858001166727115655.post-14975775771303680162014-01-03T11:19:00.001-06:002014-01-03T11:19:23.655-06:00Me and my Parents....<div>This is the first time my parents have been to visit us in our new location. <b>Happy New Year!</b></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<b>2014</b></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: 'Helvetica Neue Light', HelveticaNeue-Light, helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">I'm back....I'm going to give this another go.....</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
So much has happened in the year since I have posted to my blog. <span style="text-align: center;">Moving 4 times in 5 years definitely has taken it's toll on me. I'm so eager to update our blog even if it's only to journal for our family. </span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="text-align: center;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="text-align: center;">I'm starting with a picture of Lucey. This was taken at St. Louis Children's Hospital this past August. She had her yearly check up with her cranio-facial team. 17 months ago Lucey had major jaw reconstruction. Her amazing doctor took one of her little ribs and made a jaw for her. I am in awe of how well she did and the result is beautiful. The best part though....she speaks more clearly and has a better bite. And that is what matters most. That she has functionality. </span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="text-align: center;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="text-align: center;">We love Dr. Woo! He is such a blessing.</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

On a side note...we moved to Tampa, Florida in July. We love it here! We love it so much that we have decided to build a home. We are in the beginning stages. It's so exciting! I think this is it for awhile. Ron and I are ready to put down some roots. The kids have adjusted beautifully. Quickly. God has been so gracious to us. I am thankful.<br />

(I started this post a few months ago from my ipad. I got frustrated when I could not post for some reason. I never posted this. I was surprised when I logged on this morning through an Ap and saw it still sitting there in my drafts. I'd better relearn how to blog.)</div>

Wishing everyone a very blessed 2014.<br />

Today we remember those who died in service for our country but also recognizing the brave men and women who have served and continue to serve and fulfill this patriotic duty to maintain the freedoms we sometimes take for granted.<br />
<br />
My two heroes! <br />
<br />
Ron, my love, who has served for 30 years.<br />
<br />
Adam, my dear son, who just celebrated one year of service.<br />
<br />
I'm so proud of both of them.<br />

<strong>Lucey is having fun with all the "special" days that go along with grade school and kindergarten. Today was crazy hair day. Lucey told me this as I was doing her hair. She is on top of things and has a great memory. Sure enough...there was a tiny slip of paper in her backpack that I had missed letting me know that they had earned this day. For whatever reason. This is what we came up with. Loops like puppy ears on top of her head. Not too crazy. She was a bit reluctant.</strong><br />

<strong>It also happened to be <span style="color: #a64d79;">"Purple Day"</span> for the kindergartners. Every Wednesday the kiddos are supposed to wear the color of the week. It sure keeps me on my toes to check the calendar daily. Not to mention....gym day, library day, art day etc....and it changes....these specials do not always fall on the same day of the week. Why???? To confuse the older parents???? (I have to remember to put her in her tennis shoes, remember the library book and to make sure she has something to wear that can get paint, glue or whatever medium that they happen to be working on in art. Do your schools operate this way?) Back to "Purple Day"--Lucey does not have much purple in her wardrobe. hmmmm....we had to get a little creative. Lu had purple leggings (lavender) and purple curly hair bows and a peter pan collar shirt that had lavender flowers. So this is what we came up with. </strong><br />

<strong>I was so please that Lucey's teacher emailed me to let me know she was ready to learn how to use Lucey's hearing aid. This past Tuesday I took Lucey and her hearing aide to school and we showed Mrs. D. how it works and how to put it on her head. It's not as easy as you would think. Lucey loves to hear from both side of herself....it helps with localizing sound and for her to raise her voice a little too. (she is the only child I know of that we have to ask her to use her outside voice inside....). Lucey is deaf on her right side but with her bone conduction hearing aid, her hearing is almost within normal range. The only problem is that it is worn on a soft band and the band hurts after awhile. It also slips down or up and pops off. It's not easy to get into place. It can be frustrating. She can't wear it on the playground because it will come off and it's very expensive (we sure wouldn't want to lose it). Her next surgery will be to place an abutment (snap) on her mastoid bone that will eventually hold the hearing aid. We are hopeful that she will be ready for this by the first of the year.</strong>The Tucker Troopshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10642923782122566601noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2858001166727115655.post-6172452304180840722012-10-10T18:04:00.003-05:002012-10-10T18:04:47.462-05:00Fore<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<strong>Yesterday I had so much fun with my golfing buddies. We are on our 4th lesson and I must say, with the little bit of instruction, I have improved. I left the course with new found energy. The sun was shining, the air was crisp and I laughed. With all the moving and all the changes for us I had been a bit down. It has been quite awhile since I had done something for me. About 9 years ago I was on a women's golf league. I don't think I have had a club in my hand since. So my clubs are a bit outdated....a little on the heavy side and not very aerodynamic. Who cares....all that matters is that I am having fun. Oh and I am practicing my shouting "Fore"--I have a feeling I will not be driving straight.</strong>The Tucker Troopshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10642923782122566601noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2858001166727115655.post-35346824917915569872012-10-09T22:00:00.000-05:002012-10-09T22:00:05.087-05:00Gettysburg Day 2<div align="left" class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

The boys love History and this is their 4th year studying American History. They were not too happy when they found out they had to take the class again. We move so much so they have to take the required classes. They are in honors History so it's challenging for them and we live near Historic places so they get to see what they are studying. It's a winning combo.<br />

I suppose, since we live close to our nations capital....every event around here is considered a "national" event. :-) We had such a great day yesterday! There was a chill in the air and it was a bit drizzly which made the hot apple cider even more delicious. We took a bus ride from the parking lot to the festival....so fun!<br />

Ron gave us a little background yesterday since he has studied the battle. He took a trip there last week with his War College Class. We are so excited about getting the full tour today. <br />

Our 13th move. We adopted Lucey 3 1/2 years ago and this is her 4th home with us. Can you believe that? This is the interesting thing....In 8 months we do this all over again. We have no clue as to where we are going. So for now...this is our new front porch. I took this with my phone during the unpacking in July.<br />

We live on the military installation in a duplex. It has been a very long time since we have had to share a wall with a neighbor. Since this is a military school and Ron is a student, we live in student quarters. They are very nice and new and have a little bit of charm. It's a lot smaller than our last few homes so we have had to put some of our furniture in storage but I have to say...I like the more simple flow of the home. I took this picture when we pulled up the first day. We couldn't wait to see where we would be living. </div>

Summer 2012 will be remembered as one of the most emotionally draining summers for me. On one hand I am so incredibly grateful for Lucey's successful surgery (more on that to come) and her quick healing. She truly amazes me. But....even as I type, I am still trying to make peace with all the ups, downs and complete frustrations. I plugged along while we were in the midst of it all but now, my health is suffering a bit. Thankfully I can slow down a little and put some time into my healing. We live in a great location for wellness and that is what I am working on.<br />

{AWOL: Absent With Out Leave}<br />
I'm back--I hope you forgive me for taking a break---I can't believe it's been 3 months since I have been back to my Blog. I didn't intend to be gone for so long. The past three months have been incredibly busy, somewhat crazy and a little bit emotional. In the coming posts I'll give some highlights on what we have been up to.<br />
<br />
This picture was taken on Easter Sunday. I was thrilled to have a good picture of the 6 of us. Get this...it was taken by the sweetest lady....and she is traced back to Lucey. Let me explain....we are in Oklahoma, right? We lived in Kansas last and we adopted Lucey while in Illinois. Ron's job in Illinois was previously held by a man who has since adopted three precious little ones from China. He and his family (The V Family) were in the process of adopting their first child and shared their experience with us. We used their agency and their caseworker and now our dear friend....Carol. Mrs. V.'s Mom goes to our church her at Ft. Sill, OK. Yes, our church. She sat in front of us one Sunday and told us all about her grandchildren who seemed vaguely familiar to me. We made the connection right away. The sweet lady who took our picture is Mrs. V.'s sister who was in town visiting her Mom. A small world? Or a Divine appointment. I believe in the second. This family is such a blessing. Another group praying for our sweet Lu. God is so good!<br />
<br />
A very quick snapshot:<br />
1. Today is the last day of school for Andrew and Christian. We are all so thrilled! The last two finals are today and they are ready to be done.<br />
2. Our packers arrive in 13 days. Less than two weeks and we do this moving thing all over again. We have only been here for 10 months and it went by in a blink. We are heading to the US Army War College in Carlisle, PA.<br />
3. Lucey has surgery in 4 weeks. It's a big one. We make a stop in St. Louis for a month while Lucey has appointments, surgery and post-op appointments. We could use a few extra prayers. Thank you so much!<br />
4. Adam is with us until August and then he is off to college....over the ocean he goes. I will have to say good-bye to him all over again. This boy certainly tugs at my heart. I'm so proud of him.<br />
<br />
It's so good to be back. Thank you for checking in and leaving your notes. I am looking forward to reading about you too!<br />
<br />
xoxo<br />
(I don't even recognize the new Blog settings...it looks more user freindly. I'd better take a tour.)<br />

He did a lot of research and found the one with the best reviews and lowest cost --making sure we would actually use the thing. It really was not that expensive and, so far, it has worked beautifully...it even juices greens well. Ron and I are sliding towards that big number.....and it does not begin with a 2, 3 or 4! :-) Ron turns that big milestone this year and he is very proud if it. (I love his attitude...I'm not quite as enthusiastic about that number as he is...I'm just not going to think about.)</p><p>Anyway.....The above picture is of one of the first recipes out of his juicer. Sweet potatoes, an apple, carrots, and some greens. I had some Cinnamon from an Amish Farm that I had visited in Kansas and we sprinkled some on. It was so delicious!!! The kids loved it.</p><p>Ron does everything in a big way. He went into research mode and specifically looked into recipes that would focus in on each of our health concerns. I'm so appreciative of that. He researched the heck out of my health and it's "female" in nature if you get my drift. I think he knows more about me that I do. So he added black strap molasses (organic, unsulfered) to our mix along with some Apple cider Vinegar (organic, with the mother...are you laughing? We were until we researched...."the mother"...it all makes sense) to a few of our juices. </p><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEifgDqFF9UdBpTzYSuU4MbWrnOTny_EeXA5SrY2vHH2WJiK7fFxv8_xVw06CpjsA4ll6jAoRltkg9pTskK8RKjANUFjC_9WdHxuu10a7aZaRd5Eyn4z6RZ-gbxZJjJCFIvvfjK89rREHiqd/s1600/004.JPG"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; width: 377px; height: 400px; text-align: center; display: block; cursor: pointer;" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5707137603025111922" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEifgDqFF9UdBpTzYSuU4MbWrnOTny_EeXA5SrY2vHH2WJiK7fFxv8_xVw06CpjsA4ll6jAoRltkg9pTskK8RKjANUFjC_9WdHxuu10a7aZaRd5Eyn4z6RZ-gbxZJjJCFIvvfjK89rREHiqd/s400/004.JPG" /></a>He quickly learned it was going to take a whole lot of produce to make a pitcher of juice....because he can't just make one glass. Remember...everything in a big way! But with our house full, it does not sit in the refrigerator long. Andrew and Christian have asthma and allergies so he researched that. We've made some big changes to their diet and they have been fairly compliant.<br /><div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjq1-riQW593cUqTpc2avGVyIdJ1S_Egdy8JtvQ5QuWYgOrpMzQXPgllBo_D9ifxVZsqmU59qvUNRQBKgUscOBBdTyCSOIx-ldVGO9sPvDxG2kEufaFAJGVP40g1Ji0pKWaRTBIrIBS8DYg/s1600/005.JPG"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; width: 400px; height: 372px; text-align: center; display: block; cursor: pointer;" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5707137412719046514" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjq1-riQW593cUqTpc2avGVyIdJ1S_Egdy8JtvQ5QuWYgOrpMzQXPgllBo_D9ifxVZsqmU59qvUNRQBKgUscOBBdTyCSOIx-ldVGO9sPvDxG2kEufaFAJGVP40g1Ji0pKWaRTBIrIBS8DYg/s400/005.JPG" /></a></div><div>In November we had some very good friends stop by for a night. Especially the greens.</div><div><br /><div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg5KKMqfnjKNV6us5OnFdOwG0vDR9h_l4dLoGqsnXlIA9bImXg9lwFjCElqRhQOBbIVL7TEwptbaEs6Er0UDeQ2VAOuhroxZMlYi8WMTij1182BaxUbd1sM1CLwY-Fw7BpV8gOhM3Ugb5-R/s1600/002.JPG"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; width: 400px; height: 266px; text-align: center; display: block; cursor: pointer;" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5707135708511410530" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg5KKMqfnjKNV6us5OnFdOwG0vDR9h_l4dLoGqsnXlIA9bImXg9lwFjCElqRhQOBbIVL7TEwptbaEs6Er0UDeQ2VAOuhroxZMlYi8WMTij1182BaxUbd1sM1CLwY-Fw7BpV8gOhM3Ugb5-R/s400/002.JPG" /></a><br /><div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgF0rSRw0uKPbHkdFo_7FraIGCUcwyvlJydsDcNZt6f6ivcGHQzvyB-UKCPIve7tKDzjiBQoI6Lt6aDuXX7FHnJR2vgZHU29hfyrDgXKR0gQGVQbAQAEjcmwN-LcXt96j_5CJZpxhOwjgK9/s1600/004.JPG"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; width: 400px; height: 266px; text-align: center; display: block; cursor: pointer;" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5707135705020282898" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgF0rSRw0uKPbHkdFo_7FraIGCUcwyvlJydsDcNZt6f6ivcGHQzvyB-UKCPIve7tKDzjiBQoI6Lt6aDuXX7FHnJR2vgZHU29hfyrDgXKR0gQGVQbAQAEjcmwN-LcXt96j_5CJZpxhOwjgK9/s400/004.JPG" /></a></div><div>When Adam came home in December we introduced him to the juicer (I should come up with a cute name for him (the juicier....not Adam) since he has become such a huge part of our family. Last week it started with Christian. Towards the weekend the rest of us were feeling achy and not quite well. Christian missed one day of school last week. Andrew missed on Monday. I have laryngitis...every infection I get always starts there and then moves down. Poor Miss Lu is so congested and has an ear infection. Andrew is back at school. I'm feeling a wee bit better and Miss Lu, I think she is finally feeling a little bit better too.<br /><br />What I'm really struggling with is whether to give her the antibiotic? Yesterday I took her to the pediatrician and he said she had the beginning of an ear infection. I really don't want to give her the antibiotic. But, with just one ear, what to do? She was supposed to get a tube in that precious ear last October but ended up having the emergency surgery on her teeth last September moving up the date for surgery and the <span id="SPELLING_ERROR_0" class="blsp-spelling-error">ENT</span> was not able to squeeze time in to put the tube in. I'm not sure if this makes any sense....so....anyway.....<br /><br />I thought I would give her <span id="SPELLING_ERROR_1" class="blsp-spelling-error">Kefir</span> for the <span id="SPELLING_ERROR_2" class="blsp-spelling-error">probiotic</span> (while giving her the prescription) and then read that I can't give this to her while on the antibiotic. <span id="SPELLING_ERROR_3" class="blsp-spelling-error">Ooops</span>.... if I decide to give her the antibiotic then I will give her the <span id="SPELLING_ERROR_4" class="blsp-spelling-error">probiotic</span> after she completes the entire 10 day course.<br /><br />I really respect the advice written <a href="http://articles.mercola.com/sites/articles/archive/2003/06/18/antibiotics-bacteria.aspx"><em><strong>here</strong></em></a> on Dr. <span id="SPELLING_ERROR_5" class="blsp-spelling-error">Mercola's</span> site.....<em><a href="http://www.mercola.com/"><span id="SPELLING_ERROR_6" class="blsp-spelling-error">Mercola</span>.com</a></em><br /><em></em><br />Any suggestions? Do you give your kids antibiotics for ear infections? <span id="SPELLING_ERROR_7" class="blsp-spelling-error">Lucey</span> also started swim lessons last week and was doing so well. Of course we have not been this week. She is so disappointed. Mom's of kiddos with <span id="SPELLING_ERROR_8" class="blsp-spelling-error">microtia</span>...what do you do? Do you go the added extra mile to protect that one ear? <span id="SPELLING_ERROR_9" class="blsp-spelling-error">Lucey</span> had so many ear infections last winter and spring....I thought the tube would be the answer. <br /><br />Thanks for your help!<br /><br />PS...<span id="SPELLING_ERROR_10" class="blsp-spelling-error">Lucey's</span> lips and nose are so sore...she loves her Hello Kitty <span id="SPELLING_ERROR_11" class="blsp-spelling-corrected">chap stick</span>...I think that's safe enough. ;-) <br /><br />PSS...Ron has been on a business trip for the past 8 days. He is coming home today! I'm so happy. I told him he may want to wear a mask. :-)The Tucker Troopshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10642923782122566601noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2858001166727115655.post-51292829380924778872012-02-07T22:34:00.005-06:002012-02-07T22:54:28.572-06:00A Welcome Change<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj0XENHzRqkukaok4SaQH4r7HOJtzoc5lKXMG86UfNLqG_XRThqlsBym65MW9dO2V3U4Sgfb3ZfJUbV2Rxu3t5IjtidqHfZCmH4rzVawSEAv0Cjo5Khbdb4FhAObntNspAfo8hk9MH7aGCQ/s1600/019.JPG"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; width: 283px; height: 400px; text-align: center; display: block; cursor: pointer;" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5706621057178383602" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj0XENHzRqkukaok4SaQH4r7HOJtzoc5lKXMG86UfNLqG_XRThqlsBym65MW9dO2V3U4Sgfb3ZfJUbV2Rxu3t5IjtidqHfZCmH4rzVawSEAv0Cjo5Khbdb4FhAObntNspAfo8hk9MH7aGCQ/s400/019.JPG" /></a>I finally took down my pine wreath...those darn pine needles were collecting on my rug. To be grateful and thankful and live into what the Lord has put before me. We have another big year ahead of us and I think it's important that we live each day as it comes and not get caught up in always thinking about our next move. We moved out of our last home just 7 months ago and into this home 6 months ago. Currently I am preparing for our next move that takes place in just 4 months. So as I enjoy our current location; I'm also purging (which I do love to do) and organizing to make our next move easier. Our kiddos are really looking forward to moving to a new part of the country....I'm grateful that they see the positive in our Military life style. They are also loving their school and friends. Both have kept us very busy traveling around Oklahoma to watch them play basketball for their school. In fact, just last night they won their game---state quarter-finals! They play Thursday in the Semi-finals. I've been traveling 180 miles round trip with Lucey. Thursday will be the same. </div><div> </div><div>We celebrated Chinese New Years with friends we met at Sam's Club. Their sweet girl is exactly the same age as Lucey. They invited us to Oklahoma City with their group of families who have adopted from China. We had an amazing time of fellowship, crafts, food and fun.</div><div> </div><div> </div><div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgcs1jN9DJn8RE9MwEHIkF6ocpQCbOboEu_qZktdqo7Dv0w3u96SG9h-hy2OBRFrbXR2Ov3TL_QtJC34fDsp3aa74WGUspf-d_b-AFS3sO8TpfPCFCRankhOF55Rb8spZMwXzyx6CFgk0D1/s1600/013.JPG"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; width: 300px; height: 400px; text-align: center; display: block; cursor: pointer;" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5703811546813273778" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgcs1jN9DJn8RE9MwEHIkF6ocpQCbOboEu_qZktdqo7Dv0w3u96SG9h-hy2OBRFrbXR2Ov3TL_QtJC34fDsp3aa74WGUspf-d_b-AFS3sO8TpfPCFCRankhOF55Rb8spZMwXzyx6CFgk0D1/s400/013.JPG" /></a>Lucey was so excited to put on her dress that Ron bought for her almost 3 years ago. We decided to post pone which was fine. With our whirl wind trip to Kansas City....we were all okay to once again snuggle in together for a quiet evening.<br /><br />We have been promising Adam a trip to Mount Scott and lunch at Meers....voted by Bon Appetit Magazine, Food Network, Travelocity, and numerous other groups as one of the best hamburgers in America. They use lean, grass fed beef. I agree....a terrific hamburger. That's what we did this afternoon. The building is old, has a lot of history....<br /><br /><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiUsBfNqiCAcjg0guGwYgRKkbuCQmf77frrq8kTj7mwWGcTEeLoeObalHeOtq-rCdGEyjD4mLlH8MRxi9e-4lAgvGqLIqOzshHecYXpyaCIABmxG6Dv4CmUGoKAFEW-xqxJ8e7pAu-i2Nn7/s1600/024.JPG"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 266px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5692504892638304466" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiUsBfNqiCAcjg0guGwYgRKkbuCQmf77frrq8kTj7mwWGcTEeLoeObalHeOtq-rCdGEyjD4mLlH8MRxi9e-4lAgvGqLIqOzshHecYXpyaCIABmxG6Dv4CmUGoKAFEW-xqxJ8e7pAu-i2Nn7/s400/024.JPG" /></a> We had to wait in a bit of a line. Similar to waiting for a ride at a theme park. The line wrapped around the "store" on an uneven floor. Very charming. ;-) <br /><br /><br /><br /><div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiONVfCgTBF4DCF-qNvVmGx1MBFwT0adZk3A-c10fHcXqYYWo8nMUEd8XwKDxkkM1dIXIE7ETTMs4CG8VizdAbZGp5r9hPVyE65Gmny8AMS2j10oEW5sGgLXnV-iCcVsIxgifNiOYjFYG0M/s1600/019.JPG"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 266px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5692504495835507202" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiONVfCgTBF4DCF-qNvVmGx1MBFwT0adZk3A-c10fHcXqYYWo8nMUEd8XwKDxkkM1dIXIE7ETTMs4CG8VizdAbZGp5r9hPVyE65Gmny8AMS2j10oEW5sGgLXnV-iCcVsIxgifNiOYjFYG0M/s400/019.JPG" /></a><br /><br /><div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh5ZyvbI0v4nAJ7f8u6vEPCd0hJE_6n7IQ0isyna1jODY6Ce4bJ350MIWlSRBqMRp6AXIrFLuOGl2Ytij0xq8Al-7wG_RRaRfU5AQzqUEBnaJ2ud6ISMWv_gd1PSwnRLIe61Eeion2KAa0n/s1600/021.JPG"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 280px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5692503948705444098" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh5ZyvbI0v4nAJ7f8u6vEPCd0hJE_6n7IQ0isyna1jODY6Ce4bJ350MIWlSRBqMRp6AXIrFLuOGl2Ytij0xq8Al-7wG_RRaRfU5AQzqUEBnaJ2ud6ISMWv_gd1PSwnRLIe61Eeion2KAa0n/s400/021.JPG" /></a> We didn't have to wait to long. The sunset was pretty....but, as we arrived at the top of Mount Scott the wind was gusting. The car was shaking like I have never felt before. I decided to stay in the car with the sleeping beauty. The guys got out but stayed away from the edge. I was happy about that. Then one of the tourist's motorcycles blew over. His helmet, gloves and glasses went flying over the edge of the mountain. It took three big guys to pick up his bike. I felt so bad for him. In town the wind has been gusting to 45 MPH....I'm sure it was stronger at the peak. Lucey would have been blown away. I'm so glad we stayed put. The guys only lasted 5 minutes or so and we headed home.<br /><br /></div><br /><div><br /><div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhlG2-y3DESyryBT89WNXQVCgAYxafh_L6x2lotTUatyNdY1-bs9Ho-cB1_kv1CFlILXcGTeMC3NUBhDAjwvpy_5IbItGsC5eXBK9zCM0NTljvd9TXBmid2-Xlo-BDGc6BWcW-ktHYwQitl/s1600/029.JPG"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 266px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5692501853560971426" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhlG2-y3DESyryBT89WNXQVCgAYxafh_L6x2lotTUatyNdY1-bs9Ho-cB1_kv1CFlILXcGTeMC3NUBhDAjwvpy_5IbItGsC5eXBK9zCM0NTljvd9TXBmid2-Xlo-BDGc6BWcW-ktHYwQitl/s400/029.JPG" /></a>We watched Winnie The Pooh with Lucey and enjoyed Key Lime Pie. Then a kiss for Daddy and a Happy New Year wish and off to bed. With Lucey in bed we are enjoying a show, Sherlock, a modern day Sherlock Holmes. This British series aired on the BBC in 2010. It is clever and keeping us entertained. The second set of 3 is scheduled to premier tomorrow. We can't wait!</div><br /><div></div><br /><div>So with that....I hope you are having a wonderful New Year's Eve with the ones you love.</div><br /><div></div><br /><div>Happy 2012!! </div><br /><div></div><br /><div>See you next year!</div><br /><div></div></div></div></div></div>The Tucker Troopshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10642923782122566601noreply@blogger.com6
